Kista Galleria – our local mall

Kista Galleria is at the heart of the community, where our visitors live, work, and thrive. Our local CSR work is incredibly important to us and includes engagement in organizations and activities that promote health, safety, well-being, and welfare in the local area. As part of this, we have chosen to support Kistaloppet and Sommar på torget. We support them in various ways, including by informing and highlighting their operations through screens in the mall, on our social media channels and on our website, as well as by giving them space in the mall to inform about their activities themselves.

Sommar på torget
Sommar på torget is an initiative that Kista Galleria runs together with the Swedish Church, Kista träff, Rinkeby-Kista District Administration, Muslim Aid, Save the Children, Fryshuset, and Shanta basket.

We want to contribute to increased safety and togetherness by engaging children and youth during the summer break. During three weeks in June, children have the opportunity to try out various sports and activities at Kista square.

Kistaloppet
We believe it is important that everyone has the right to exercise and physical activity. That is why we are proud sponsors of Kistaloppet, which is completely free for all ages. The race goes through our mall and we offer activities and music throughout the day. The initiative is part of Löparakademin’s campaign #RUN4ZERO, which works to ensure everyone has the opportunity to exercise and live a healthy life, regardless of their circumstances.

Sustainability at Citycon
Citycon owns and develops modern urban centers in the Nordic and Baltic regions. Our 33 centers focused on daily retail are located in the largest cities in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, and Estonia. We create value in areas by developing modern urban centers and communities where people can live, work, socialize, and shop. We create cities full of life with sustainable development as the foundation for everything we do.

By 2030, Citycon aims to be carbon neutral. Our portfolio will be 100% energy-smart and powered by sustainable energy. All our centers will be environmentally certified, directly connected to public transport, and easily accessible by bike, on foot, and by electric vehicles.

Citycon also actively collaborates with the local community. We organize hundreds of events and activities annually for communities across the Nordics. These projects inspire us to reach our sustainability goals.
