Kista Galleria’s development and future
Now we embrace the mall, the heart of Kista. To ensure that you, your family and your friends enjoy themselves, we are renewing and improving one part at a time. The first stage of the MEET food court was completed this spring. Here we have created a wonderfully inviting environment with greenery and warm, harmonious colors. During the year, work will continue so that the entire food court feels equally welcoming.
With natural materials, recycled furniture and a consistent approach to sustainability, it feels extra good to continue the journey of developing Kista Galleria. Several of the stairwells have been renovated and in the elevators and on the floors you can enjoy nature views from the surrounding area around Järvafältet. At the same time, the new, nice seating furniture in Kistagången has been put in place and the wooden paneling at the light inlets in the hallway gives a nice feeling.
When Kistagången is finished, Modeboulevarden will be getting some extra love and care. Here, the facades will be clad with wooden materials in natural colors. The sound environment will be quieter and the lighting will be modernized. The work is planned to start in the fall and be completed in the spring of 2023. The mall will be open as usual in the meantime, although you will notice that a lot of exciting things are happening.
In parallel with the reconstruction and renovation, the signage in the mall will be overhauled. The mall will also be divided into clearer blocks so it will be even easier for you to do your errands.
There are extensive development plans for Kista Galleria and the surrounding square. More housing, schools and vibrant squares are part of the vision.
