Street Corner Talking

Street Corner Talking is a variable text and lighting installation that was created by the artists Thomas Liljenberg and Bo Samuelsson for Kista Galleria.
The piece consists of a 16 x 4.5 metre long large glass wall that covers the entire corner of Kista Galleria facing out towards Jan Stenbecks torg. Behind the glass wall is a lighting installation, which can be programmed to change colours and light intervals. On the glass, the artists work with text and images, which are transferred via self-adhesive plastic film.
Perhaps you can compare Street Corner Talking with a glittering diamond in the meeting between private and public spaces? Or a billboard that tells about Kista and its inhabitants?
In scope, it is one of the largest current public art works in Stockholm. And it is totally unique with its innovative working method. The content for the piece was produced by the artists together with residents, associations and companies in Kista-Husby. Street Corner Talking will be changed and updated with new texts and images up through November 2011.
To get to Street Corner Talking follow Kistagången along Jan Stenbecks torg. Street Corner Talking is located approximately 50 metres to the right of the exit.
